Many people want firmer contours and smoother skin, especially in areas of the body where stubborn fat deposits persist despite a healthy diet and exercise. If the skin no longer recedes as it used to, this can lead to frustration. With the BodyTite method, Dr Matiasek offers a modern, gentle solution to precisely this problem: the combination of fat reduction and skin tightening, without any large incisions or visible scars.
What is BodyTite?
With increasing age, after pregnancy or weight changes, connective tissue can lose elasticity. The result: the skin appears saggy, the tissue less firm and contours lose their clarity. Many patients find this disturbing, especially when diet or exercise no longer achieve any visible improvement. This is precisely where BodyTite comes in.
BodyTite is a state-of-the-art, minimally invasive procedure for simultaneous skin tightening and fat reduction that is based on radiofrequency-assisted lipolysis (RFAL). A fine probe, which is inserted under the skin, delivers targeted heat to the tissue. This heats the fatty tissue in a controlled manner, melting fat cells and at the same time intensively tightening the overlying skin. Collagen formation is also stimulated, which sustainably improves the skin's elasticity.
The special thing about BodyTite is the combination of effectiveness and gentleness: you benefit from visible results without long incisions or extended downtime.
How does BodyTite work?
BodyTite utilises the power of radio frequency energy to liquefy fat cells and tighten the tissue at the same time. Using a wafer-thin probe inserted under the skin, the heat is directed precisely where it is needed - into the fat and connective tissue. The thermal effect has two effects: firstly, fat cells are gently dissolved and then suctioned out, and secondly, the collagen-rich tissue visibly contracts. In addition, the body's own collagen production is stimulated, which further firms the skin over the coming weeks and months.
In contrast to conventional tightening operations, the skin remains intact and no long incisions or scars are required. This makes BodyTite a particularly gentle but extremely effective method of tightening sagging tissue and improving body contours.
Whether on the abdomen, upper arms, thighs or chin/neck area - BodyTite delivers convincing results where traditional methods reach their limits. For many patients, this means a fresher and more defined body image, without complex surgery and with only a short recovery time.
Who is BodyTite suitable for?
BodyTite is ideal for patients who want a firmer and more defined body silhouette without extensive surgery or visible scars. The method is particularly suitable for incipient skin sagging when classic tightening operations are not yet necessary or desired. Younger people, for example after a pregnancy or significant weight loss benefit from gentle tightening and skin rejuvenation using radiofrequency energy.
If there are also troublesome fat deposits, BodyTite can also be excellently combined with a liposuction can be combined. This allows excess fat and loose tissue to be treated simultaneously in one procedure, for a particularly natural and harmonious result.
Lecturer Dr Matiasek often uses the BodyTite treatment for Lipoedema treatments in.
Which areas of the body can be treated with BodyTite?
Lecturer Dr Matiasek regularly uses BodyTite in various areas of the body - wherever skin and tissue have lost elasticity and a gentle tightening is desired. The procedure has proved particularly effective in the following areas:
- Upper arms (e.g. so-called „angular arms“ or loose skin in the upper arm area)
- Abdomen and waist (e.g. after pregnancy or weight loss)
- Chest
- Thighs (both on the inside and outside, for soft or sagging skin)
- Knee area
- Lower leg
- Chin and neck region (for double chin, incipient sagging of the skin or for clearer contours in the profile)
BodyTite can be used precisely and individually for firmer skin, clear contours and an all-round harmonious body image. Lecturer Dr Matiasek will be happy to advise you personally on whether and how this method is suitable for your needs.
What are the advantages of BodyTite?
- Minimally invasive treatment without long incisions or visible scars
- Short recovery time - you are usually fit for socialising again after just a few days
- Tightening and fat reduction in one step
- Collagen stimulation for lasting skin quality
- Can be performed on an outpatient basis, usually under local anaesthetic or twilight sleep
- Can be ideally combined with classic liposuction
What do I need to consider before treatment?
As BodyTite is a minimally invasive procedure, no extensive preparation is necessary. Nevertheless, Dr Matiasek will take enough time to analyse your individual situation in detail. In a detailed consultation, we will not only discuss your physical requirements, but also your personal wishes and expectations of the result.
How does the treatment work?
Before the treatment begins, Dr Matiasek will take plenty of time to advise you in detail and analyse the desired treatment area in detail. The desired result and the areas to be treated are determined together with you. On the day of treatment itself, the relevant area of the body is carefully marked. You will then be anaesthetised with a gentle local anaesthetic or a pleasant twilight sleep, so that you will experience the treatment in a relaxed and pain-free manner.
The BodyTite treatment involves three steps: First, Dr Matiasek injects a special liquid, known as a tumescent solution, into the tissue. This has a pain-relieving effect and optimally prepares the tissue for the treatment. This is followed by the actual treatment step: a fine probe is inserted under the skin through tiny skin openings, which emits targeted heat into the tissue using radio frequency. This heat melts fat cells and simultaneously tightens the collagen fibres. The tissue then visibly contracts and the skin becomes smoother.
The dissolved fat is then gently removed using a particularly gentle technique, power-assisted liposuction (PAL). This method minimises the risk of dents and ensures an even result. Depending on the size and region, the treatment takes between 90 and 120 minutes. An inpatient stay is not necessary. Most patients feel well again shortly after the procedure and are usually mobile on the same day; the healing process takes longer for lipoedema procedures.
When does BodyTite make more sense than liposuction alone?
A pure liposuction can achieve very good results on unwanted fat deposits, for example on the stomach, flanks or thighs. But sometimes this alone is not enough. If the skin has lost its elasticity and, in addition to excess fat, there is also the beginnings of excess skin, BodyTite is often the better choice.
The great advantage of this method is that not only is the fatty tissue reduced, but the skin is tightened at the same time - without any incisions or scars. This effectively prevents unwanted sagging of the skin. Dr Matiasek recommends BodyTite, particularly on sensitive areas such as the upper arms, thighs or chin and neck, if a smooth and natural result is to be achieved.
Can BodyTite be combined with liposuction?
In many cases, this is even particularly useful. This is because liposuction alone is often not enough to achieve a truly harmonious result, especially if there is an incipient sagging of the skin in addition to unwanted fat deposits. This is exactly where BodyTite comes into play: While the excess fat is removed, the radio frequency technology simultaneously tightens the tissue, without any additional incisions or scars.
Lecturer Dr Matiasek relies on the proven method of vibration-assisted liposuction (PAL - power-assisted liposuction). In vibration-assisted liposuction, the cannula is set into fine vibrations during the treatment in order to loosen the fat cells particularly gently. This also has a positive effect on skin tightening.
During a gentle anaesthetic - usually in the form of twilight sleep or a local anaesthetic - the procedure begins with the infiltration of a special solution that prepares the tissue and has a pain-relieving effect at the same time. The fat is then suctioned out using fine cannulas. At the same time, BodyTite ensures controlled tissue heating via the probe, which achieves the desired tightening effect.
The entire procedure usually takes 90 to 120 minutes. Lipoedema procedures take considerably longer. After a short rest period, you can usually leave the surgery on the same day. Dr Matiasek will be happy to discuss with you personally in a detailed consultation whether the combination of BodyTite and liposuction is the best solution for you.
What risks or side effects can occur?
BodyTite is a particularly gentle and safe procedure, especially when performed by an experienced specialist such as Dr Matiasek. However, as with any medical treatment, there may be slight, temporary reactions. Minor bruising, slight swelling or a feeling of tightness often occur after the procedure. The skin may also be slightly reddened at first or feel more sensitive for a short time.
Thanks to precise temperature control during treatment, serious complications such as overheating or burns are extremely rare. Dr Matiasek attaches great importance to safety and accuracy. This minimises the risk of side effects.
What should I bear in mind after the BodyTite treatment?
You should give your body some rest after the treatment. For the first day or two, you may feel as if you have sore muscles, accompanied by slight bruising or swelling. This is completely normal and usually subsides quickly.
Depending on the treatment area, it may be advisable to wear compression trousers or a special girdle for a few weeks. This measure supports healing and helps the tissue to regress evenly.
To speed up the healing process and reduce swelling, it makes sense to have lymphatic drainage using endermologie (LPG) performed in the surgery in the first few weeks after the procedure.
Many patients are fit for everyday life again after just a few days. You can start light exercise after about two weeks. However, you should refrain from intensive training for around six to eight weeks to allow the tissue to regenerate in peace.
When are the results visible?
The results of a BodyTite treatment are gradual. An initial effect is often visible just a few weeks after the procedure. The skin appears smoother and the treated area appears firmer and more harmonised. However, patience is required before the final result is achieved. The skin structure continues to improve over a period of six to twelve months, as the newly formed collagen fibres develop during this time and the tissue becomes increasingly firmer.
How long do the results last?
The results achieved are usually permanent. Once fat cells have been removed, they do not return as long as the weight remains stable. The collagen production stimulated by the treatment also ensures long-lasting skin firmness, provided you maintain a healthy lifestyle with a balanced diet and sufficient exercise.
Does the treatment have to be repeated?
In most cases, a single BodyTite session is sufficient to achieve a convincing result. In the case of very severe excess skin or pronounced findings, it may be advisable to consider a second treatment. Dr Matiasek will clarify whether this is necessary for you in a personal consultation.
